We’re opening 2026 with a powerful series dedicated to clearing parasites and pathogens, supporting heavy metal detoxification, and preparing your body for a healthy, vibrant year.
This year we have planned our Education into the following free online webinars on various topics that are trending and relevant to our patient base. These are designed to empower you and help you understand your own wellness better.
We will offer three online courses through the year and guide you in a group setting through empowerment and active participation on the topic.
And we have three hands on Maleny workshop days where you can come and make herbal products with us and be educated from our naturopaths. These days also include free community clinic and access to our market set up where we can help you with herbs and body products.

February 12 — Free Online Webinar

We are beginning with a free session to introduce the foundations of the topic. On February 12, we’ll explore:
Parasites, pathogens and heavy metals
How diet, lifestyle and herbs help reduce their load
Practical strategies you can begin immediately

March 1 — Maleny Workshop Day 1

Join us at the Maleny Community Centre for two hands‑on workshops designed to empower your herbal practice.
Morning Workshop — Oxymels for Parasites & Pathogens
Learn which herbs traditionally support parasite and pathogen cleansing, and how to prepare them in oxymel and water‑based formulas. You’ll make your own oxymel and take home a generous jar of goodness.
Afternoon Workshop — Immunity Tea Formulation
Our first tea‑making workshop of 2026 focuses on immunity herbs and creating your own blends for Autumn. Let’s strengthen, nourish and prepare for the cooler months.
March 10 — Four‑Week Online Course
Beginning March 10, this guided four‑week program is the first of our three online courses for 2026.

Dominique LivKamal, ND is an award-winning naturopath, herbalist, and wellness advocate. She’s passionate about empowering you on your wellness journey.She holds a Masters degree in Public health ( Health Promotion) Bachelor Health Science ( Complementary Medicine ) is a qualified Naturopath , herbalist and nutritionist. She has three published books and is a constant student in wellness and life Dom also has a diploma in Journalism, is a qualified Kundalini yoga teacher and Zen Thai Shiatsu Therapist and yoga teacher. Dominique is founder and naturopath at Medicine Room. She has developed the herbal manufacturing processes here for herbal extractions and has been offering free community clinics to her clients since 2004.
Moving forward with a solid family business
Working alongside Dominique are her Son Alex Finney who is finishing his environmental science degree and manufactures the organic herbal medicines here at Medicine Room and operates the herb shed. Alex brings scientific vigorous practices into our manufacturing and analysis skills.
Tamara Higgs has been working with Dom for the last 12 years and is a qualified Naturopath and Nutritionist. Tam is Dom's daughter in law. Tamara holds an Advanced diploma in Naturopathy and Nutritional Medicine. She is an accomplished clinician and herbalist. Tamara has taken on the responsibility of organising Functional hormonal and Microbiome testings for Medicine Room as well as working in our free clinics and herbal dispensary.
