Zen Thai Shiatsu Therapist Balms
This weekend The Zen Thai Shiatsu community held the annual open day and graduation for the new therapists who have just completed the nine month program.
I love this day, remembering my own graduation in 2014 with founder Gwyn Williams and his lovely family of therapists.
If you have experienced a Zen Thai Shiatsu treatment you will know how relaxing and therapeutic they are. Zen Thai Shiatsu is a combination of Thai massage, shiatsu and osteopathy. It was developed by Gwyn Williams over 20 years ago and he has taken over 1000 students through his nine month training program creating a team of excellent body workers.
The modality is performed on low mats on the floor and the participant is fully clothed through the process. The sessions usually last from 60 minutes to 90 minutes and any health issues you have are addressed at the beginning and the focus on the session is to help you feel less pain, more wellness and restored both mentally and physically.
Medicine Room have been collaborating with Zen Thai Shiatsu and in 2021 we launched our WATER BALM and our FIRE BALM for the community. The therapists usually use our balms on your feet while they are massaging them and also your neck at the end for relaxation. These balms are excellent to use at home and you can massage your family and friends enjoying the qualities of Traditional Chinese Medicine elements of cooling ( Water) or warming ( Fire ) balms
We have the balms available on our web site if you would like to get some for at home or as a lovely gift to your friends and family.
If you are attending The Woodford Folk fetsival this year the Zen Thai Shiatsu tent is there for therapeutic sessions. The community go to many Festivals in Australia and New Zealand and there are private bookings available with many therapists. I'm here in Maleny and if you want to book with me please contact me. I offer these sessions on Fridays at The Medicine Room when I have availability.
