The low down on our Long Table wellness day January 2019.

Sharing with you some recipes from todays Long Table wellness day in Maleny. We had loads of fun and education, What I love most about these days is the connection and networking we do together, Ten people around the table, all there for the same purpose. To receive herbal wisdoms, my recipes and education on how to recover your energy. Adrenal support, over work, over doing it.... after festive season recovery and how to achieve optimal wellness using simple foods, medicines and home made solutions.

We started the day with our introductions and what each of us wanted form the experience. Then we drank some iced liquorice root tea, had some shots of mindfulness herbs.... chatted and got on with the workshop.

We made a deliciously simple body exfoliant that stimulates your skin, opens the circulation and meridian channels and leaves your skin silky smoothe.

Heres the recipe for our Eucalyptus body exfoliant.

This recipe is so simple all you need is a couple of kilos of local raw sugar. Add in some olive oil and coconut oil, mix well and add in some essential oils of your choice. We used good Australian Eucalyptus oil today. Love this simple bathroom luxury.... Exfoliate your body before each shower or bath and rinse off in the water!

Then we did some bodywork and worked on the principles of touch! That was fun as we explored the great letting go points and channels. This allows you to release energy and stress faster as it all descends away from your mind and heart.... Allowing greater balance in lifestyle choices..

Lunch was served with our classic Kitchen Sink Salad, Tofu, mushroom and fennel salad and a crunchy walnut and coocnut topper.

Light, nourishing, super delicious and perfect food for summertime fire season foods.... #almostvegan ( I added honey in the salad dressing) this is the kind of food that makes strong, healthy and energised bodies..

Then for the afternoon we did an epic one hour guided meditation. When you want body recovery its important to learn the art of relaxation and how to just stop. To lie on the floor in a super comfortable space and breathe deeply, focus on your breathe, focus on your body relaxing and taking yourself to a special place of relaxation and releasing what no longer serves you is good on many levels. It allows you to physically, mentally and emotionally be comfortable with where you are in your life. This process also gives us much needed reflection time to view our lives as an observer.... always a good way to step aside from your stresses and issues and just relax.
