Seasonal fruits are a powerhouse of goodness!

Fruits offer a wide range of health benefits that make them an essential part of a healthy diet. Seasonal fresh fruits  are the ultimate prana food, containing not only the nourishment but also the living, energetic, and vibrational aspects of food that our body needs for optimal wellness. Prana foods are life force foods, super foods and the ultimate energy foods that our cells love!

Incorporating a variety of seasonal fruits into your diet ensures you receive a broad spectrum of nutrients and health benefits. Plus, they taste delicious and can be enjoyed in numerous ways!

Health Benefits of Seasonal Fruits

Rich in Nutrients: Seasonal fruits are packed with vitamins and minerals that are essential for maintaining overall health. They are easy to access and often free or cheap, as fruit is an abundant food. When trees are full of fruit, they are often heaving with deliciousness and nourishment.

Fruits are a rich source of vitamins like vitamin C, A, E, and K, which are vital for skin health, vision, and overall well-being. Essential minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium are found in fruits.

Fruits contain antioxidants like flavonoids and polyphenols that protect the body from oxidative stress and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.

Hydration: Many fruits have high water content, which helps keep you hydrated. Watermelons, for instance, are about 90% water and can help you stay cool and refreshed.

Eating organic and local fruits that are not sprayed with chemicals is important, as this hydration is a clean form of water and contains the energy of the fruit, which helps your body get hydration without any traces of nano particles and toxins that may be in other forms of hydration.

Fibre: Fruits are an excellent source of plant fibre, which aids in digestion, helps regulate blood sugar levels, and keeps you feeling full longer.

We talk about fibre a lot because it helps microbiome wellness and acts as a preventative, reducing risk factors for many illnesses. Apples, pears, and berries are especially high in fibre.

Natural Detox: I always say, fruit is the most cleansing food we can eat. Fruits have natural detoxifying properties. They help flush out toxins from the body, support liver function, and promote a healthy digestive system.

Adding a dash of lemon to your water, eating a mono diet of grapes or papaya for the day as a detox, or having fresh fruit salad is supreme for wellness. When you think of a gentle detox, think fruit!

Boost Immunity: The vitamins and antioxidants found in fruits strengthen the immune system, helping the body fight off infections and illnesses. Citrus fruits, kiwi, and pomegranates are known for their immune-boosting properties.

Energy Boost: Fruits provide natural sugars like fructose, which offer a quick and healthy energy boost. In fact, fruits are the good sugars. We recommend that you eat fruits whole and not make them into juices.

When you have the fruit whole, you are getting all the benefits and not the concentrated sugars. Fruits should be eaten fresh, dried, or cooked whole. Candied fruits and concentrated and rehydrated juices are not the same. They are processed, which concentrates the sugars to create an insulin spike and can become unhealthy in this format.

Alkalising Effect: Fruits like bananas, avocados, and watermelon help maintain the body's pH balance by having an alkalising effect, reducing acidity and inflammation. Our body PH needs to be between 7.2 and 7.4 for optimal wellness.

So when you have fruit you are aiding your body to help balance Ph and this can reduce acidity.  Having optimal PH reduces our risk factors for illness.

Make sure you enjoy fruits on a regular basis in your diet. The health benefits are profound, and they are a living, natural, and vibrant addition to your diet.
