My three tips to boost your body this week.

Mother Nature is our finest physician and theres no better time to let her do her wonderful work than now! 

Yes its almost springtime and so we have this last week of winter to boost our body and get it super strong and healthy so that we are in really good physical, mental and emotional space to spend the next three moths detoxing and cleansing our bodies at regular intervals.

Spend this week thanking. your body for all it does for you... protecting and nourishing you allowing you vibrancy, youthfulness, energy and freedom. Your body is your best friend and this week we will honour this with a slower pace, a restful mind and regime... and time for ourselves to reflect and relax...

Here are my three tips for you to achieve a restful, strong and nourished week. 

  1. Take some immunity boosting foods and herbal medicines. These can include the herbs  cats claw,( killer virus herb and strengthening.. boost immunity) astragalus( adaptogenic... strengthening, helps make immune cells in body) , reishi  mushroom ( boost immunity, energising, liver tonic) echinacea ( boost immunity, strengthening, energising, protective) and garlic( makes you strong, cleans the blood , helps those old viruses and microbes leave the body fast) . Eat immune boosting mushrooms and foods that make your body feel strong. This is proteins and quality plant based foods. We want give our immunity a final strong boost this week in whatever way you can. Think foods that give you energy and make you feel good. Nourishing goodness is the theme of your diet and supplements this week. Brewers yeast for vitamin B and strengthening nervous system.  Think boost and building your system.... strengthening.
  2. Drink warm  water through the day. Yes change your water this week to warm water and feel the difference in your body. Its nurturing and feels nourishing. Sip small amounts of water through the day and keep up your fluids more than usual. Amp up the urine cycle. This is done simply. Every time you have a wee ( urinate) have at least 100ml of warm water, Make a regime where you have a glass 300ml to 400ml of warm water every hour while you are awake. You can add some herbs such as chamomile ( for relaxing and antimicrobial) echinacea ( to boost immunity ) olive leaf ( antimicrobial plus energising) Liquorice root ( strengthening and restorative) Peppermint ( deodorising and antimicrobial )
  3. Sleep as much as you can and as often as you can... Yes rest up.... this is the week to rest and relax. Take time for yourself... sit and contemplate the world. You may have noticed that your energy is lower than usual at the moment because its the end of wintertime and its the end of sluggishness. This is a great time to relax and shoot the breeze. You don't need to let your body get sick to stop.... Go to bed earlier than usual.... back off from socialising and having  lots of fun. Rest up and relax.

We are also hosting our beautiful friend Kevin James Carroll on the 2nd September on the Sunny Coast. Its the weekend of our beautiful Maleny Music Festival as well. So we won't be in Maleny this time. We will let you know the venue soon.  We are checking out our options. We will have a sunset chanting circle from 4pm to 7pm. So its the perfect Sunday afternoon destination.... somewhere on the Sunshine Coast!
