Lets play a little game of wellness.... How much fresh food do you really eat?

Hello and welcome to my blog,

I'm travelling at the moment and thats always shakes up our lives in so many ways.  When we're out of our homes for an extended period of time we get to observe our reactions, our ability to be adaptable, our spontaneity, our ability to flow and our boundaries with capacity and resilience... Mostly we cope with these, one way or another. However its what we put in our body and fuel ourselves with that makes a difference in our energy levels and ability to feel healthy and well.

When we move through different cultures we experience the local diet that matches the dialect! We can use travel as a great example of stepping out of our comfort zones and observing our choices in food.

For example, if you have the choice between a fresh food based diet or a more processed option what do you take?

My little game here... to ask you is simple... Can you observe the food you eat over the next few days and see what percentage of fresh fruits and vegetables you eat?

I know my aim for myself is a 80% fruit and vegetable based diet with 20% being proteins and dairy in my case. I try to eat 50% raw food every day too. But while I'm traveling its not quite like that. I had a vegan sausage roll in a transit terminal today with my soy flat white.... but that doesn't mean it was healthy and it was what I would call processed food. Last week in Portugal every meal started with bread, butter, olives and olive oil! Now back in London its carb city and I have found some great vegetarian options.. But what about organic, chemical free and unprocessed?

I'd love to know how you go with your own assessments of what you are eating. Please email and share with me. Livkamal@medicineroom.com.au  Its na interesting observation. Just write down what you eat over the next few days and let me know what your doing? Lets have that conversation and I ask you... Are you really happy with your consumption of fruits and vegetables?

On another note... This is a pic of Stonehenge I took today... Yes I visited this site and felt the beauty!
